AAL engineered a solution to stack the barges atop each other, deployed the ‘AAL ECO-DECK’ to accommodate the large cargoes on deck, and utilised the full capabilities of the AAL Limassol’s two large holds to stow the wind energy components.

Comark* – Stand 1A30
Comark successfully transported a 200-ton rotor from Slovenia to Germany using a smart combination of road and river transport. Instead of an expensive full-road journey through Austria and Germany, Comark designed a cost-efficient route that made the best use of inland waterways.
The rotor was first moved by truck to the Port of Vukovar in Croatia, where it was loaded onto a barge. Since the port lacked the necessary lifting equipment, Comark brought in its own 500-ton mobile crane to safely transfer the cargo onto the vessel. The barge then traveled via the Danube, Main-Rhine Canal, and Ruhr River, reaching the client’s facility, which was located directly next to a river canal. This meant that no additional land transport was needed in Germany, eliminating the need for extra handling, unloading, and reloading costs.
By shifting 70% of the journey to river transport, Comark avoided high road permit fees, escort costs, and bridge reinforcements, making the project much more affordable. Despite challenges like changing river levels and precise scheduling, the transport was completed within three weeks, proving that smart logistics planning can significantly cut costs and improve efficiency in heavy cargo transport. Prism Logistics has set a new benchmark by executing the largest multimodal logistics project using turnkey logistics solutions. We moved 34 SODCs with a cargo volume of 75000+FRT and a weight of 13000+MT (equivalent to 130 Blue Whales) with single cargo dimensions of 60+ meters in length, 10+ meters in height, and 1,200+MT in weight. The project spanned 600+ km by road and 900+ nautical miles by sea in just 364 days.
To manage this massive load, we deployed 400+ SPMTs, 3 flattop barges, 8 tugs, 2 self-propelled vessels, prime movers, pullers, and 1,400+ hydraulic axles. Our expert team of 400+ professionals—including engineers, marine captains, naval architects, wiremen, supervisors, and operators—ensured safe execution.
The execution involved groundbreaking innovations, including a 4+km single-lane convoy, construction of three modular steel bridges capable of carrying 2000+MT loads, and a 2,500+ MT sideways Ro-Ro operation, optimizing berthing and reducing turnaround time. Sustainability remained a priority through refurbished steel, eco-friendly bypass materials, and in-depth route planning. The team managed 60+ railway shutdowns, built 75+ bypasses, and restored 1,500+ electric lines for uninterrupted cargo movement.

Sea O.G.
In a transformative demonstration of inland maritime logistics, SEA.O.G. successfully executed the transport of forty-five 80-meter wind turbine blades using its 2,600HP towing vessel, the Troy Bernier. The full tow extended over 600 feet in length and 100 feet in width, with an air draft of 61 feet that completely eliminated visibility from the vessel’s wheelhouse. This complex cargo was moved from the Texas Gulf to Illinois using a single tug—a sharp contrast to conventional methods that would have required the tow to be split, with each barge pushed and pulled by a pair of vessels, totaling four tugs. The result was a transport operation that significantly optimized efficiency and minimized environmental impact, while demonstrating what’s possible with next-generation technology and expert execution. Suvari Shipping and Trading* – Stand 2H25
The Turkmenistan Wind Power Project aimed to support the country’s renewable energy development by efficiently transporting two sets of wind turbines to Turkmenistan. Using the MV ZHIBEK ZHOLY vessel and the Volga-Don River Route, the project successfully completed the delivery in just 16 days.
